Trinity Reformed Church, a member of the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches, is ruled by a session of elders as well as our interim pastor, Peter Leithart ,who serves as an ex officio session member due to his current office in the Presbyterian Church in America. The session meets weekly.

Pastor

Dr. Peter Leithart (Ph.D., Cambridge, Th.M., Westminster Theological Seminary) is the interim pastor of Trinity Reformed Church. Dr. Leithart is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America and the Dean of Graduate Studies and Senior Fellow at New Saint Andrews College, Moscow, Idaho. Peter and his wife Noel live just outside of Moscow. They have 10 children and one grandson. (Dr. Leithart's personal blog may be found at Leithart.com).

Pastoral Assistant

Joshua Appel (M.A. Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando) is the pastoral assistant to Dr. Leithart at Trinity Reformed Church. Mr. Appel is also a part-time Fellow at New Saint Andrews College. Joshua and his wife Sara, who is the church's choir director, have two children.

Elders

Chris Schlect is a teaching elder at Trinity Reformed Church. Chris is the Academic Dean for undergraduate studies and a Fellow at New Saint Andrews College. Chris and his wife Brenda live in Moscow and have five children from high school age down.

Patch Blakey is a ruling elder on the session of Trinity Reformed Church. Patch serves as the Executive Director of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools. Patch and his wife Debbie live in Moscow and have four children.

Dr. Roy Atwood (Ph.D., Iowa, M.A.R., Westminster Theologicial Seminary) is a teaching elder at Trinity Reformed Church. Dr. Atwood is the President and a Senior Fellow at New Saint Andrews College. Roy and his wife Beverlee have two married children and five grandsons (with two more grandchildren on the way).

Deacons

Bruce Evans is a deacon at Trinity Reformed Church. Bruce works for a new modular home manufacturing company based outside Sacramento, CA. He and his wife Anita live in Moscow with their four children.

Ed Van Nuland is a deacon at Trinity Reformed Church. Ed is the development director at Logos School in Moscow. He and his wife Janet  live in Pullman, Washington, with their four children.

Choir Director

Sara Appel is the choir director at Trinity Reformed Church. Sara is a graduate of New Saint Andrews College (2004) and has been involved with a children's music camp in Colorado (her home state) for many years. Sara and her husband Joshua, who is the church's pastoral assistant, live in Moscow with their two children
